the aching

a fire comes

takes us

you grasp hands full of
sand
let it fall between your toes

if i win the lottery
i will have a house
on skinny legs which
always threatens
to fall
into the ocean
and
it has
a winding staircase
which
falls down
into the ocean
and
every morning
every time
i wake up with you
climbing
with me
down
into the ocean
then

it's night time
coming
dark

like i always knew
it could
be
