Toronto: Người ta đã tìm thấy một cây Hogweed lần đầu tiên trong vùng thủ phủ Toronto. Loại cây dại có chất độc nây có thể mọc cao 6 mét và có hoa trắng, đã được tìm thấy trong khu Don Valley.
Đụng vào chiếc lá hay cái hột của cây Hogweed có thể làm cháy da, và chỉ cần một chút lá hay mảnh cây vương vào mắt, có thể gây mù.
Loại cây dại có chất độc này đã mọc hoang ở gần thủ đô Ottawa, vùng Đại Tây Dương và ở tỉnh bang British Columbia.
