Hồi xưa bên Anh đem cam ở nước nào đó (hình như là Tây Ban Nha) vào xứ nó, gặp phải loại cam chua lè, họ bèn chế biến thành mứt cam, từ đó mứt cam được phát minh ra!

Thấy có sách gọi cam chua là cam đắng (bitter orange). Hai vị chua và đắng khác nhau mà sao họ lại gọi như vậy ?

Có sách phân biệt:
- Cam chua là Citrus aurantium L.
- Cam đắng là Citrus aurantium L. var. amara Engl.
